Emma Charlotte Duerre Watson born to British lawyers Jacqueline Luesby & Chris Watson in Paris, France. When she was just five when she left for Oxfordshire and attended her first Dragon School. Emma made the decision to become an actor by the age of six. For several years, she attended the Oxford Branch of Stagecoach Theatre Arts part-time school. There she learned singing as well as dancing, and also acting. When she was 10 Emma took part in several Stagecoach productions and school plays. In 1999 casting began with the casting process for Harry Potter and the Sorcerers Stone (2001) the movie adaptation of British author J.K. Rowling's bestselling novel. Emma was found by agents via her Oxford teacher. David Heyman informed Emma, Daniel Radcliffe, and Rupert Grint of their auditions after eight. They were selected as the 3 leads Hermione Gringer Harry Potter Ron Weasley. The debut of Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone (2001) was Emma's debut on the screen in cinema. It broke all records in first-day openings and weekday openings as well as being the most-grossing feature of the year 2001. It was highly praised by people who have read it, along with the performance of three young stars. The Daily Telegraph, an important British paper, called Emma's performances "amazing". Then Emma was shortlisted for five awards based on her performance in the film, winning The Young Artist Award for Leading Young Actress in the Feature Film.
