Maggie Grace (born Margaret Grace Denig November 21, 1983) is an American actress best well-known for her role in the roles of Shannon Rutherford on the ABC TV series Lost and Kim Mills in the Taken trilogy. Maggie Grace, originally from Worthington in Ohio, dropped out of high school in order to move in Los Angeles after her divorced parents. As she struggled financially, she was able to land her first role as the title character in the online video show Rachel's Room in 2001. Following her win of a Young Artist Award in 2002 for her portrayal in Murder In Greenwich of 15 year young Martha Moxley as a murder victim, she went on to be awarded. Grace appeared as Shannon Rutherford on the Lost television show in 2004. She was the main protagonist for two seasons and also won an award for her performance, a Screen Actors Guild Award. Grace left the television series in the year 2005, to take on the role of a greater part in film, appearing in the film Taken alongside Tom Welling as Kim Mills in Taken. Grace has been as Kim Mills in Suburban Girl The Jane Austen Book Club as well in 2007 and Taken opposite Liam Neeson in 2008 as Kim Mills. The role was reprised in Taken 2 (2013) and Taken 3 (2015). She also played Alice on Malice in Wonderland which is an updated version from Lewis Carroll's Alice's Adventures in Wonderland. Grace played Shannon's part in Lost for two episodes, which included the finale of the series. In 2013 she appears in the sixth episode of Californication. She plays Faith as a fan and muse of the stars. Hank Moody as played by David Duchovny falls in love with her. Gyllenhaal is a part of the family, and is the older sibling of Jake Gyllenhaal. When she was in her teens she appeared in small roles in the films of her father and she co-starred alongside her twin brother on Donnie Darko the popular cult movie. The year 2002 saw her appeared as a character on Adaptation Confessions of a Dangerous Mind. She also appeared in Mona Lisa Smile (2003). The leading roles of Gyllenhaal in Secretary, a romantic comedy-drama erotico, as well as Sherrybaby (a dramatic) have earned her nominations to the Golden Globe Awards. In the wake of several successful commercial films like World Trade Center in 2006 her fame grew in the role of Rachel Dawes (the superhero) in The Dark Knight (2007). In recognition of her role as an unmarried mom in Crazy Heart (2009) she got a nomination in the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress. After that, she went on to play in comedies as well as dramas such Nanny McPhee and The Big Bang (2010) Hysteria (2011) and Will Not Back Down (12). Her other roles include the role of a Secret Service agent in the action-thriller White House Down (2013) and a musician in the film Frank (2014) as well as her role as the lead in the film The Kindergarten Teacher (2018). In 2021, Gyllenhaal made her writing and directed debut in the psychological thriller The Lost Daughter for which she won an award at the Venice International Film Festival's Best Screenplay Award and was nominated to win the Academy Award for Best Adapted Screenplay.
